This show aired live from midnight-2:00am London time on 5/20/09 on www.playvybz.com. This was the 1st and only show that I've been blessed to do live so far in London and I was amped! You could tell all in my voice! This was the 5th Vinyl Vybz show I had ever done so my apologies for not being as "comfortable" on the mic as I am now. Not to mention I was VERY excited to be in London to do Vinyl Vybz Live and then perform at the Westbury with the rest of the Temporary Residents the following day. My adrenaline was pumping!!!

My apparent lack of skills on the mic compared to current shows aside, this show was INCREDIBLE! The music was DOPE but most importantly I was surrounded by family in the studio. Check out an appearance by the admiral of The Temporary Residents, DJ Johnny Rebel, and a SPECIAL performance by Lyrickal (the guy whose drop I play during every Old to the New segment). Lyrickal performed a 10 minute freestyle of rapping, singing, vocal scratches & instrumentation. And the scary part is that this is only a FRACTION of what this man is capable of. Trust me you DON'T want to miss this!!!

PEACE

This is the third edition of Soundtracked, where Nikia (Founder and Editor of ChiTown Fashionista) picks the theme and I provide the sounds. We’re determined to soundtrack every facet of your life!

In honor of Fashion Week, I curated a playlist that’s perfect for the runway. Now I’ll be the 1st to admit that I’m no expert when it comes to fashion. However, I’ve come across enough fashion shows to get a vibe as to what’s being played. Out of all the genres of music that designers tend to choose for their runway shows, it was the house, EDM, and soul music that drew me in the most. This mix is a reflection of that. It was designed to transport your mind to the front row of your favorite fashion show. But most importantly, it’s meant to be the soundtrack for whatever moment in your life that you see fit. So enjoy!

Nikia (Founder and Editor of ChiTown Fashionista) picks the themes and I dig in my crates to provide the soundtrack. We’re determined to soundtrack every facet of your life! The theme for this mix is road trips. I selected music that literally talks about traveling or that I envisioned being played on a road trip (no matter how long or short). When I hear this music it puts me in the mood to travel. But as before, don’t let my vision for this mix restrict you. Feel free to enjoy this music any way you like!

I selected music that I could hear being played at a rooftop party or social gathering on a beautiful, sunny day. You can sit back and vibe to this or get up and dance. The choice is yours! But don’t let my vision for this mix restrict you. I hope you enjoy this music any way you like!

Please be sure to also check out www.chitownfashionista.com (a DOPE fashion blog that focuses on retail, emerging designers and indie boutiques).
